Anticipation
Designers are clamoring to design the Inaugural Gown for Michelle Obama. Up until this point, she particularly chooses low-key, native Chicagoan designers. However, the expectations are extremely high for this historical event. Some designers have been closed-mouth about their sketches, choosing to keep their ideas to themselves than being assumptive about Michelle’s design choices. After all, her style has always been prettily fashionable, rather than Haute-Couture. Some of those in the running are remaining low-key. But some designers are taking that risk and have released their sketches to WWD Fashion. Whoever becomes the lucky chosen one, it will certainly boost their profile and demand in America as well as the fashion capitals around the world.
